I can either get a free macbook 13 inch, or a dell inspiron netbook, i have used pc my whole life, is the transformation prosess to mac worth the better quality? Also cant I run windows on a mac?

I have an Asus netbook and my boyfriend has a hp notebook. I will be out of the country for a month and calling is very expensive. How can we talk back and forth using a webcam? Do you have to have a special program or something? Thanks
